  • What is ADDICTION?

Addiction is defined as a chronic, relapsing brain disease characterized by compulsive and uncontrollable drug seeking and use despite harmful consequences which includes mental health, work, school, environment, family, physical health and behavior. It is considered a brain disorder, because it involves functional changes to brain circuits involved in reward, stress, and self-control, and those changes may last a long time after a person has stopped taking drugs.

  • At The Sanctuary Drug Education & Rehabilitation Centre, we strive to be the leading experts in the addiction treatment referral field, and we have years of experience and have helped lots of individuals get the best treatment possible.

  • When it comes to seeking treatment at a recovery centre, you cannot simply just look in the phone book, pick somewhere to go, and achieve success. There are many different types of rehab centres out there and they are not all created equal.
